From the Rando Book of Fairy Tales and Legends.

After sharing his home with fair Liliana for some time, Rando knew that she was special for he had never felt such feelings toward a person before her.  He couldn’t help but watch her lithe form wander through the corridors and gardens of his great home, taking in the magnificence of the décor with wonder in her eyes.  Rando decided that he wished to spend the rest of his days with no one but her and would ask for her hand in marriage soon.

Before that though, Rando wanted to find a gift suitable of his love for Liliana besides a simple ring.  Over the days they spent together, she would consistently bring up the topic of the King Wishers, particularly the one that led her to safety as well as her new home and how she’d love to have one to signify the experience of her salvation.  At that Rando knew there could be no more perfect gift than that of all his wishers to be returned to the menagerie.

Rando bid adieu to Liliana for a short while, explaining he had urgent business to attend to however would return soon, in no more than a week’s time.  The hunt for the missing birds began.  While the flock would surely be frightened still due to the terror they must have felt when their roost was attacked, Rando knew his birds would recognize him by the simple song he whistled and recognize him they did.  By the end of the long week of constant walking through his land, Rando returned home with all the King Wishers dutifully following their master’s path.

Rando pondered over his amazing luck, it had to be providence that he would find someone like Liliana so soon after the peace reached by defeating the Nightlands’ forces.  Life just simply couldn’t get any better yet he was sure it would, as far as Rando was concerned.  After all, there was simply no conceivable reason Liliana would decline his proposal, right?
